On Cheating
- Still not sure what I think about cheating but it sure happens a lot. And I guess we get a look at how it happens through Clare's POV.
- But totally wild when your affair partner winds up dead and you end up being one of the major suspects AND have to solve the mystery.
On the Characters
- Don't think I will like being on the wrong side of Dorothy (like Clare was) but she's fascinating. Especially that conversation when she threatened Clare about the cheating.
On the Mystery
- Definitely enjoyed it when Clare started her investigating; and glad that nothing too dangerous/gory happened (save for Gabriel's death).
On Art
- Never mind that I don't know anything about art IRL, but love the descriptions of the artwork and art world anyway. Like how I totally googled what 'Venetian red' looked like when Gabriel's blood was described to look like it.

More and more she was coming to realize how little was truly hers. She'd thought that Jed was incapable of making a choice without her; now she realized that he'd made every choice that mattered. She just got to choose what milk they drank.
